Tesla CEO Elon Musk has supposedly voiced a desire for higher global birth rates among individuals with high levels of intelligence. Musk’s ex-wife Shivon Zilis has reportedly revealed that “[Musk] really wants smart people to have kids.” Zilis, who shares twins with Musk, shared this in an excerpt from his upcoming self-titled biography obtained by the New York Times. He has also allegedly asserted that declining birth rates pose a more significant risk to civilization than global warming. Musk himself has 11 children with three different women. Additionally, he has offered to “donate” his sperm to ensure that the children of his partners would have his genetic lineage.
