2024 Daytime Emmy Awards full winners list

The 2024 Daytime Emmys were announced on CBS on Friday in broadcast from the Westin Bonaventure hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

General Hospital is off to a good start, taking four of the 11 nominations the show is up for this year, including the award for Daytime Drama Series, which the series has won for the fourth time in a row for the second time. More awards will be given out on Saturday, during the Creative Arts & Lifetime Ceremony on June 8.

Dick Van Dyke, 98, won for his guest appearance on Days of Our Lives. The legendary actor is the oldest person to ever win (and ever nominated for) a Daytime Emmy. He bested Linden Ashby (The Young and the Restless), Ashley Jones (The Bold and the Beautiful), Alley Mills (General Hospital), and Guy Pearce (Neighbours).

In the Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series categories, Thorsten Kaye took his second consecutive outstanding actor award for his role as Ridge Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, while Michelle Stafford won her third outstanding actress award for her role as Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless.

Kelly Clarkson accepted the award for Daytime Talk Series for The Kelly Clarkson Show, starting out her speech with a note to her neighboring table: “Shout out to General Hospital. Y’all are a good time.”

Hosted by Entertainment Tonight‘s Kevin Frazier and Turner, the 51st Daytime Emmy Awards sees the biggest names in daytime entertainment face off for the top honors in soap operas, daytime talk shows, and numerous other daytime entertainment prizes given by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless led the field of nominations with 12 noms each this year, while Days of Our Lives and General Hospital each netted 11 nods. The Kelly Clarkson Show garnered the most noms for a daytime talk show with eight.

Early in the show, Turner announced inductees into the Emmy Gold & Silver Circle. Silver inductees include: Kathleen Finch, Linda Grand, Patricia Denney, Mark Teschner, Janet Spellman-Drucker, and Rolonda Watts. Gold inductees were A Martinez, Suzanne Rogers, and Jerome Dobson.

NATAS announced previously that married duo Daytime Emmy Award–nominated and multi-award-winning actress Melody Thomas Scott and Daytime Emmy–winning producer Edward J. Scott would be awarded will be the Lifetime Achievement honorees during the ceremony. Public television host and cookbook author Lidia Bastianich is the Lifetime Achievement honoree during the 51st Creative Arts & Lifetime Ceremony taking place on Saturday.

Here’s the full list of winners from the 51st Daytime Emmy Awards announced on June 7. The remainder of the awards will be announced on June 8, and this list will be updated with those winners.
