Longtime entertainment reporter and editor Jethro Nededog is jumping the fence to work in public relations. Nededog has joined the Lippin Group as a vice president on the corporate communications team.
The announcement was made Thursday by newly-installed managing directors Matt Biscuiti, Kevin Broderick and Katie Fuchs. Based in L.A., Nededog joins Biscuiti and Broderick on the corporate team and he’ll work closely with executives at the firm’s offices in L.A., New York and London (including Jim Benson who serves as president of corporate communications for the West Coast) on a client roster that spans TV, advertising and technology. Nededog will also lend support and expertise to the company’s consulting practice, TLG Connect.
”From the day I met Jethro, he impressed me with his knowledge of the entertainment and media worlds and his exceptional skill set as a writer and strategic thinker,” offered Lippin Group chairman Dick Lippin.
Nededog is well known in Hollywood and entertainment media circles for a long tenure covering the television business. Most recently, he served as co-executive editor at trade publication TheWrap, where he also held the roles of managing editor for business news and TV Editor.
Previously, he served as senior news editor at Entertainment Weekly and as entertainment editor at Insider. His resume also includes stints covering TV for Business Insider, The Hollywood Reporter and the Los Angeles Times. the New York University graduate, who earned a masters degree in writing from USC, has also produced TV documentaries for National Geographic Channel, Discovery, History Channel and E! Entertainment.

News of Nededog’s new gig comes on the heels of Lippin Group’s announcement that the firm had overhauled its executive ranks by establishing the office of the chairman comprised of senior leaders Buscuiti, Broderick and Fuchs.
