  • There is no Januworry in Celebville.
  • Celebs are having their vacations at beaches and islands.
  • The A-listers have let their hair down by having some fun in the sun.

We are less than a week into the new year and SA celebs are already giving us trips to be envious of.

While some may have taken their holidays during the festive season, a couple are showing us they are not in Januworry and are living their best lives, letting their hair down here and abroad.

Pearl Thusi – Cannes

Cannes is a city located on the French Riviera and, donning her brown bikini, Pearl Thusi has been having some fun in the sun and dipping herself in the water.

The media personality and actor previously told News 24 that, aside from the music, she was also working on apparel and writing beautiful stories.

Most recently, she used her voice to bring the character of Maadi to life in Disney’s first anthology of animated short films, Kizasi Moto: Generation Fire.

“I’m very, very pleased with where I am,” she said.

Thusi already has Black Pearl Hair, Black Rose Gin, and a candle brand attached to her name.

Pearl Modiadie – New York

Modiadie is in the Big Apple with her partner. In the past year, Modiadie has been juggling a career in radio and TV, as well as her role on BET Africa’s daily drama, Redemption.

She told News 24 that she found the role on Redemption most challenging – and, juggling everything, including parenting her son and MCing at events, was a challenge. Even if this is the case, she has managed to take vacations with her bae, whom she had kept under wraps until September when she started attending soirees with him.

Thando Thabethe – Zanzibar

The radio personality and actor took to her Instagram timeline to share with her followers how she kicked off the year. She’s been serving bikini looks and we must say island living looks good on Thabethe. From floating in the ocean, soaking up the sun, and swimming with turtles, she seems to be having the time of her life.

Nadia Nakai – Cape Town

The rapper got tongues wagging with a green number that she wore on the beach. All the talk has never got to the rapper, it’s like water off a duck’s back.

Sneziey Msomi – Cape Town

The musician and former Idols SA contestant and her little family are enjoying their time at the beach and taking in magical sunsets. Previously speaking to News 24, she said she was enjoying motherhood.

“I knew I was happy, and I was where God wanted me to be. I knew I was living in a time/season when God wanted me, but I never thought I would be this happy. With this girl being around, I’m at my happiest. She makes my world even perfect. Motherhood for me is not what I expected because I didn’t have any expectations of what should happen.”

Liesl Laurie and Musa Mthombeli – Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)

If there is a couple in Celebville that has given us a serious case of FOMO, it has to be these two. As things stand, going on holiday is like second nature to them. In 2023, they’ve been to different holiday destinations abroad and have taken their Insta followers along on their international travels. From Paris, New York City and Sun City, to name a few.

Penny Lebyane – Cape Town

The seasoned broadcaster is having the time of her life in Cape Town, she even met US actor Anthony Anderson.

“It’s the craziest thing @anthonyanderson insists that l a famous star of “the Housewives franchise” he says I’m the#NeneLeaks of SA. I’m like what the heck. It was great to see him enjoying SA. Maybe I will be a housewife in 2024,” she captioned her post on X.

Somizi – Zimbali (KZN)

The media personality and author seems to be taking it easy in Zimbali. From chilling on the couch, with a view to die for, to recharging, it seems Somizi is ready for the year.

Gabriel Temudzani – Bali

The Muvhango actor and TV presenter showed his followers his adventurous side in Bali, which he said was not for the faint-hearted.

“Here is the longest and first glass bridge in Bali Indonesia ???? located in Gianyar. Let’s see who dares walk on a translucent glass bridge with stunning views of Tegenungan waterfall. Guys I had to be brave on this one. Mind you, me and heights are not friends,” he captioned his post.

Zamani Mbatha – Dubai

The actor, who has starred in multiple productions, like Isithembiso, Rhythm City and The Black Door, just to mention a few, has been partying it up in Dubai and chilling at San Beach in the United Arab Emirates. He’s been sharing clips and snaps of his vacation on his Instagram timeline.
