Jennifer Lopez is set to produce a big-screen adaptation of the popular children’s series ‘Bob the Builder.’ The film is being developed by Mattel, the company that owns the rights to ‘Bob the Builder’ and that recently achieved success with 2023’s ‘Barbie’ movie. ‘Bob the Builder’ first debuted on CBBC 25 years ago as an animated series. The new film will reportedly update the character’s story. Anthony Ramos, known for his role in ‘In the Heights, will play a version of Bob known as Roberto, who travels to Puerto Rico for a job. “For years, ‘Bob the Builder’ ’s characters have inspired young people around the world. A movie about friends working together, a celebration of a beautiful home they share, and how love can help to conquer any obstacle in your way. Can we fix it? Yes, we can!” said Ramos in a statement. Lopez has yet to comment on her involvement in the film.
