Taylor Swift’s Grammys Night Looks Bright

Taylor Swift is predicted to sweep up at the 2024 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles and, on the night, she could break another impressive record.

Swift has dominated a large portion of the cultural zeitgeist and media attention over the past year. The 34-year-old pop superstar took the music industry by storm in 2023 and was crowned the most listened-to artist in the world with more than 26.1 billion global streams.

Swift’s Eras Tour previously broke the Guinness World Record for the highest-grossing tour of all time. As well as this, in just its first weekend of release, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour became the highest-grossing domestic concert film of all time, making $92 million in its opening weekend.

Now, there is a chance Swift could win four out of the six categories she has been nominated in, according to GoldDerby, a website that predicts who will win Hollywood awards and reality TV shows. Swift’s likely wins include Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year for “Anti-Hero” and Best Pop Vocal Album for Midnights.

Taking place on February 4, the 66th Annual Grammy Awards will honor the best recordings and artists from October 1, 2022, to September 15, 2023 as chosen by The Recording Academy. Read on to find out more about each category Swift could win in, as well as checking out her fellow nominees.

While she has been nominated in the category numerous times, she has never won the award. The singer-songwriter earned her first Song of the Year nod in 2010 with “You Belong with Me.” She was also nominated in 2015 for “Shake It Off;” in 2016 for “Blank Space;” in 2020 for “Lover;” in 2021 for “Cardigan;” and in 2023 for “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).”

One of the biggest hits in this list is Swift’s remix of “Karma” featuring Ice Spice. The rapper’s addition to the song included the lines: “Karma is your checks about to bounce, Karma is the fire in your house, and she about to pop up unannounced, and she never leaving you alone.”

Swift unveiled the remixed version of her single on May 26. That same month, Ice Spice joined the pop star on stage as the surprise guest during her Eras Tour at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Released on October 21, 2022, it is the 10th studio album by the singer-songwriter and broke numerous records. It was the best-selling album of 2022 and second-best-selling album of 2023 and spent six weeks atop the Billboard 200.

Before “Flowers,” it had been 10 years since Cyrus had a No. 1 hit. Written in the aftermath of her divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth, after the song was released in January 2023, it was played a record 96 million times in its first week on Spotify and spent eight non-consecutive weeks at No. 1.

Swift now holds the record for the most nominations, although she has yet to win. Cyrus is predicted to win for “Flowers,” which became the fastest song in Spotify history to cross 1 billion streams when it was released.
