According to the Hollywood Reporter, Nigel Lythgoe has been accused of forcibly touching a woman in a car in 2016. This is the third time in the space of two months that the former ‘American Idol’ producer has been accused of sexual assault. In the latest lawsuit, a Jane Doe accuser stated that Lythgoe “insisted” on driving her home after they met one night at a Beverly Hills hotel. The woman claims that she attempted to push him away, but Lythgoe continued to “fondle her breasts and kiss her” in the back of the car. The complaint also alleges that he “shoved his hand up Plaintiff’s skirt and penetrated her genitalia.” The lawsuit accuses Lythgoe of sexual battery, gender violence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Lythgoe has also been accused of sexual assault by two other women, who claim the incidents occurred in 2003.
