The Bears held a 17-7 lead until the Browns scored a field goal with 12:31 to play in the game. Cleveland went on to score two more times – a touchdown and a field goal – while the Bears failed to capitalize on any of their five fourth-quarter drives.

Heading into Week 15, the Bears had the second-best rushing defense in the league, allowing an average of 83.7 yards per game.

The unit tied its best performance of the season as Cleveland rushed for just 29 yards, as they also allowed 29 yards on the ground to the Commanders Oct. 5.

Sunday’s performance against the run marks the ninth time this season a Bears opponent has rushed for under 100 yards.

Amari Cooper and David Njoku recorded 109 and 104 receiving yards, respectively. Njoku’s performance against the Bears is his first 100-yard game of the season.

The Bears defense has been playing at the top of its game in the third quarter as of late, continuing a five-game streak of not allowing a score.

In the third period against Cleveland, the defense recorded two interceptions and forced three straight punts, including two consecutive three-and-outs.
