Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum, ex-Raider Darren Waller divorcing

Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum and NFL tight end Darren Waller are calling it quits after a little more than a year of marriage.

Online records show a joint petition for a “summary decree of divorce” was filed in Clark County District Court on Tuesday. Filing a joint petition means both spouses have agreed on everything in their case.

Plum released a statement on social media apparently confirming the split.

“I’m devastated. I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go,” Plum wrote.

She did not give a reason for the divorce.

“One day I’ll share my story, today is not that day,” the statement reads. “Thank you for the grace to process my pain, to forgive and to move forward.”

The two wedded in March last year. They have no children together, per court records.

Waller played five seasons for the Raiders, including their first three years in Las Vegas, and was named a Pro Bowler in 2020.

The team traded him to the New York Giants last offseason just days after the wedding, though his charitable foundation has remained involved in the Las Vegas community.

Plum was picked first overall by the San Antonio Stars in the 2017 WNBA Draft. The franchise relocated to Las Vegas and rebranded as the Aces the following season.

A WNBA All-Star the last two seasons, she has won two titles with the Aces and a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics as a member of the U.S. 3×3 women’s basketball team.
