Human skull found in Cambria County


CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A human skull was found near the Little Conemaugh River in Conemaugh Township Thursday night.

The skull was found by a fisherman around 8 p.m. on May 16, according to Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer. While the remains are confirmed to be human, the identity of the individual is currently unknown.

Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees is working with a Forensic Anthropologist from Mercyhurst University as well as a Forensic Dentist from Westmont to try to identify the victim.
