Karta

Metaverse developer Karta has hired former Tommy Hilfiger senior menswear designer Morgan Evans as fashion and beauty director, with Emperia senior creative designer Sarah Richards joining as art director.

Additionally, Karta has brought on Tork Shaw (previously with Epic Games) as game design director, Oscar Halland (formerly a Supersocial engineering manager) as lead programmer for Roblox, and Jonny Coelho (most recently with Beyond Creative) as lead producer.

UMG

Universal Music has elevated over nine-year team member Todd Goodwin to SVP of culture marketing and creative strategy for °1824.

WMG

Sarah Ismail is now MD of Warner Music’s ADA Asia, a role she’ll hold while continuing as MD of Warner Music Philippines “on an interim term.”

BMG

BMG has boosted publishing A&R exec Marc Johlen, who came aboard in 2020, to MD of operations in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

iHeartMedia

Multiple iHeartMedia stations have announced promotions, with 31-year iHeartMedia Philadelphia vet Marie Tolson-Overton becoming sales manager for WDAS FM (Philly’s Best R&B & Throwbacks) and Power 99 (Philadelphia’s Hip Hop and R&B).

Next, Minneapolis’ 101.3 KDWB has confirmed Vont Leak (a KDWB night host whose “show numbers have been among the best on the radio station”) and Bailey Hess as on-air personalities for The Dave Ryan Show.

Lastly, Phoenix’s 99.9 KEZ (More Music, More Variety from the 80’s, 90’s & Today) has upped Andrew Babinski to co-host of the Beth and Friends Morning Show.

Sony Music Publishing

SMP has tapped two-year team member Nasra Artan for its newly created head of international A&R role.

BeatBread

Former Hightouch renewals lead Julian Dunn has signed on with BeatBread as director of business and legal affairs.

Peermusic U.K.

In addition to his existing roles overseeing operations in Australasia, Africa, and the Middle East, Ralph W. Peer has been named MD of Peermusic U.K.

Z100

iHeartMedia New York’s Z100 has hired Kiana Singh, previously part of Cox Media Group, as an overnight host.

Downtown Music

Downtown has launched a royalties and financial-services division with Curve Royalty Systems founder Tom Allen as president and Curve GM Richard Leach as MD.

Blue Note Entertainment Group

Blue Note has revealed a new talent-buying team for midtown Manhattan’s Sony Hall: senior talent buyer Jack McFadden, talent buyer Alli Vega, and junior talent buyer Niko Murray.
