Sounders celebrate Pride Month with festivities throughout June

As a proud ally and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, Sounders FC is excited to celebrate Pride Month this June, continuing a long-term commitment to invest in, support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

Gender Diverse Youth Clinic

Sounders FC is excited to kick-off the month’s celebrations with its third annual Gender Diverse Youth Clinic! Hosted in partnership with the club’s Pride partner Starbucks, Seattle Reign FC and TransFamilies, gender diverse youth from TransFamilies and their siblings are invited to the Providence Swedish Performance Center and Clubhouse for an afternoon of soccer skills and free play alongside Sounders and Reign players. Clinic attendees will go home with Pride-themed t-shirts and water bottles, courtesy of Starbucks, and free soccer balls, courtesy of RAVE Foundation.

Progress Pride Flag Raising

The Progress Pride Flag, featuring the colors black, brown, light blue, white and pink to represent BIPOC and transgender community members, will be raised at Lumen Field on June 21 ahead of the club’s Pride match on Saturday, June 22. Sounders players will be joined by Reign players and representatives from Emerald City Supporters, TransFamilies and Starbucks to help raise the flag high above Lumen Field. The flag will remain up for Sounders’ and Reign’s respective Pride matches that weekend.
