Stateline athletes get front row seat for Chicago Sky, Indiana Fever game


ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The rivalry between WNBA rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese is one of the biggest stories in the sports world right now — and Stateline athletes will have a front row seat as the two square off at the Wintrust this Sunday in Chicago. The Lightning are hosting an all-star game at the Wintrust this Sunday, with recently graduated girls basketball players taking the court after the Fever and Sky game.

“I’m super excited,” Belvidere North graduate Brooke Bottcher said. “It’s an honor to share this experience and play on the court after Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.”

“I’m super excited to go to my first WNBA game,” Guilford graduate DeNiya Gary said. “I’m ready to see Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese go at it again.”
