Circle Cinema offers special screening of ‘Bad Press’

“Bad Press,” a Sundance award-winning documentary about the fight for free press in the Muscogee Nation, arrives at Circle Cinema for a special Q&A screening with local journalists at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.

The Q&A will include Benny Polacca (Osage News senior reporter), Lenzy Krehbiel-Burton (Tulsa World education reporter) and Allison Herrera (KOSU Indigenous Affairs reporter). Daily screenings begin Friday, Oct. 6.

A promo for the film: When the Muscogee Nation suddenly begins censoring its free press, a rogue reporter fights to expose her government’s corruption in a historic battle that will have ramifications for all of Indian Country.

Made in Oklahoma, the documentary is returning for a full run following a sold-out debut at July’s Circle Cinema Film Festival.
