Meg Ryan couldn’t contain her excitement after witnessing Taylor Swift‘s spellbinding performance in London. Showering the pop star with praise, the 62-year-old rom-com icon dubbed Swift, 34, “the Queen” of the music scene.

Taking to social media the day after the Friday, August 16 concert at Wembley Stadium, Ryan expressed her awe with a post that captured the mood perfectly. Alongside an image of friendship bracelets โ€” a nod to Swift’s song “You’re on Your Own, Kid”โ€” Ryan penned a heartfelt thanks to the Grammy winning artist, exclaiming, “Last night at Wembley… WOW Thank you, @taylorswift You’re the hands down the Queen!”

Her post quickly became a gathering spot for fans of both stars, with comments pouring in celebrating the mutual admiration between the two.

“Legends supporting legends!!!” one person cheered.

“Love Meg Ryan and Taylor Swift!! ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ It takes a Queen to know a Queen!! โœจ๐Ÿ‘ธ โœจ๐Ÿ‘ธ โœจ,” pointed out another.

“Now this is the ultimate validation in life ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป,” chimed in a third.

Ryan’s visit to the concert came just a day shy of Ed Sheeran’s surprise appearance at Swift’s show, adding even more star power to an already stellar London lineup. Although the When Harry Met Sally legend missed the 33-year-old “Shape of You” musician’s cameo, she was treated to a memorable moment when Swift jokingly noted her parents’ penchant for recording significant moments.

Fresh off a heartfelt ovation, the pop sensation laughed and said, “I guarantee my parents were just recording that on their phones,” as evidenced by a fan-captured clip shared on X (formerly Twitter). “So anytime I’m having a sad or a bad day, not only will I play the video in my mind, but I’m gonna revisit that moment a lot,” she continued. “Thank you so much for doing that.”

Swift will be back at Wembley for another show on Monday, August 19, before taking a brief pause after her final London performance on Tuesday. This marks the end of this leg of her Eras Tour, giving the “Cruel Summer” singer and her band a well-deserved break. The tour is set to pick up again in November, kicking off in Toronto before concluding with three final performances in Vancouver in early December.
