Diddy Gives Teen Justin Bieber a Hard Time About Not Partying in Old Clip

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors

As allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs continue to pile up, many are finding supposed hints at Diddy’s alleged crimes in past videos and interviews. One of these is a video featuring a then 15-year-old Justin Bieber around 2009, likely as he was working on his second album My World 2.0.

In the video — which was originally posted to the now 30-year-old Bieber’s YouTube channel — Diddy, 56, and Bieber apparently spend 48 hours together in documentary-like footage.

At one point in the video, Diddy and Bieber are seen in a recording studio, and Diddy comments on Bieber’s rapid rise to fame.

“What’s up man, you good?” asked Diddy to Bieber, who appeared nervous throughout the video.

Diddy continued, commenting on Bieber’s rapid rise to fame. “Selling out arenas and everything? Starting to act different, huh? You haven’t been calling me and hanging out the way we used to hang out.”

Soft-spoken and shaky, Bieber responded, telling Diddy “Well I mean, you haven’t… you tried to get in contact with me through all my, you know, my partners and whatnot, but you never really got my number. So, you want my number? I’m gonna tell you my number.”

Elsewhere in the video, Diddy explained that they’re hanging out for 48 hours, but also bizarrely notes that he “can’t really disclose” what they’re up to, but that “it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.”

Shortly after, Diddy shared that he became Bieber’s legal guardian.

“I have been given custody of him,” Diddy said. “You know, he’s signed to Usher and I had legal guardianship of Usher when he did his first album. I did Usher’s first album.”

At the time of writing, Diddy is awaiting trial in a Brooklyn jail facility after being charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and traveling to engage in prositution. He has been denied bail twice, and is reportedly attempting a third appeal.

There is currently no set date for Diddy’s trial. Bieber has also not commented on Diddy’s alleged crimes, recent arrest, or resurfaced videos.
