Britney Spears claims there is one major differentiator that separated *NSYNC from the Backstreet Boys in the 2000s.
The 41-year-old “Toxic” singer reflected on her former boyfriend Justin Timberlake, 42, talking differently around black artists in her new memoir, “The Woman in Me,” which hit shelves Tuesday.
“His band, *NSYNC, was what people back then called ‘so pimp,’” Spears writes on Page 57 of the book.
“They were white boys, but they loved hip-hop. To me, that’s what separated them from the Backstreet Boys, who seemed very consciously to position themselves as a white group.”
“*NSYNC hung out with black artists. Sometimes I thought they tried too hard to fit in,” she says.
Spears, who dated the “Cry Me a River” singer from 1999 to 2002, then provided a cringeworthy example.
“One day J and I were in New York, going to parts of town I’d never been to before. Walking our way was a guy with a huge, blinged-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant security guards.”
“J got all excited and said, so loud, ‘Oh yeah, fo shiz, fo shiz! Ginuwiiiine! What’s up, homie?’” she said of the boy-bander greeting the “Pony” singer.
The “Overprotected” pop star claimed her former assistant Felicia Culotta mocked Timberlake’s lingo after Ginuwine walked away. But he “wasn’t even embarrassed. He just took it and looked at her like, ‘OK, f–k you, Fe.’”
“That was the trip where he got his first necklace — a big T for Timberlake,” Spears concluded.
The Post has contacted reps for Timberlake for comment.
Spears recruited “Dawson’s Creek” star Michelle Williams, 43, to voice her memoir for the audiobook, including narrating Timberlake’s now-infamous “Fo shiz, fo shiz” line.
Fans on social media are replaying the line “One More Time” or so. Five-time Oscar nominee Williams delivering the line is “art,” one user proclaimed.
“I wanna make this my ringtone,” another fan laughed.
“Can we get Morgan Freeman to read it next?” a third begged.
Spears shared multiple bombshells about Timberlake in the book, including that he got her pregnant in 2000 and they decided to proceed with a “painful” at-home abortion because Timberlake allegedly didn’t want to be a father.
