Bleecker Street has announced principal photography in Georgia has started on upcoming feel–good comedy “The Fabulous Four.”
One of our favorites, Emmy Award-winner Sheryl Lee Ralph, along with Bruce Greenwood, and Timothy V. Murphy have joined the cast, alongside Susan Sarandon, Bette Midler, and Megan Mullally.
The film is slated for release, next Spring.
The comedy follows three life-long friends (Megan, and Sheryl) who travel to Key West, Florida to be bridesmaids in a surprise wedding of their college girlfriend Marilyn (Midler). Once there, sisterhoods are rekindled, the past rises up again in all its glory, and there are enough sparks, drinks and romance to change all their lives in ways they never expected.
Emmy Winner, Golden Globe nominee, Critics Choice Winner, Tony Award nominee, NAACP Image Award nominee and Independent Spirit Award winner Sheryl Lee Ralph has become a staple in the entertainment industry, with an acclaimed career spanning over four decades.
In 2022, she won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Support Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance on ABC‘s smash hit “Abbott Elementary” and was nominated again in for the series second season. Known for her Tony nominated role in the original production of Broadway’s “Dreamgirls,” Sheryl has also had notable roles in Mistress with Robert de Niro, To Sleep with Anger with Danny Glover, and The Distinguished Gentlemen with Eddie Murphy, Sister Act 2 with Whoopi Goldberg, “Moesha, and “Ray Donovan.”
Sheryl Lee Ralph, along with her non-profit charitable organization, “The DIVA Foundation,” recently announced a star-studded partial lineup of performers and presenters to take the stage at this year’s “DIVAS Simply Singing!.”
