Meet Julius Randle’s sons who double as his biggest fans.
The New York Knicks star shares two children, Kyden and Jaycey, with his wife Kendra. They were born in August 2016 and June 2021, respectively.
Randle has opened up about balancing his dad duties with being a full-time professional athlete since his first child was born. Meanwhile, Kendra has praised her husband for his ability to show up for both his team and his family, despite his busy schedule.
“Both of us grew up in single-parent homes. We never saw our dads respect our mothers. I’m so grateful my kids get to grow up watching their dad be the best father and husband,” the mom of two wrote on X in May 2023.
Between supporting his kids at their school extracurriculars and traveling the world with the entire family, Randle makes time for his wife and children by spending quality time with them away from the court.
“For me being a father is absolutely amazing,” Randle said in a video shared by Knicks in June 2020. “The highlight of each day… is seeing [Kyden’s] smiling face. I try to carry myself in a way he would be proud of me and I want him while he’s young to experience my life and what I do on an everyday basis.”
Kyden and Jaycey get to see their dad in action, too, as they’re courtside staples when the Knicks have a game. His little ones are frequently seen in full team apparel, sitting alongside their mom and cheering on their dad.

Kyden Randle, 7
Randle and Kendra both attended the University of Kentucky, where they were introduced by mutual friends at Kendra’s 20th birthday party in 2013. In August 2016, the pair announced they were expecting their first child together.
Kendra revealed the exciting news on Instagram, posting a photo of a baby Lakers jersey (Randle’s team at the time) with “Randle” written on the back, along with Randle’s number, 30. Kyden Jay Randle was born on Dec. 23, 2016.
The couple’s firstborn son is always seen supporting his dad at games and sharing sweet moments with him on the court. Plus, he’s often featured on his mom and dad’s Instagram pages (in addition to his own social media, which his parents manage).
“Back to our favorite mommy-son date nights💙🧡,” Kendra captioned a carousel of photos and videos of her adventures with Kyden during game night in October 2022. “Missing Jaycey but it was his bedtime😴💙.”
Later that month, Kendra shared an Instagram video of the then-5-year-old sobbing in bed after seeing his dad and the New York Knicks fall 109-100 to the Indiana Pacers in their first preseason loss. (Kyden’s passionate reaction to the loss went viral among the team’s fans, who appreciated how dedicated he was.)
Undoubtedly one of his dad’s biggest fans, Kyden dresses the part too, always rocking team merch and doing so in the most fashionable way. His style has even landed him modeling gigs for the streetwear brand Kith.
In December 2023, Kendra celebrated Kyden’s birthday with a sweet tribute on Instagram. She shared a roundup of photos alongside her baby, paired with a heartfelt caption showcasing her love.
“My baby. Happy 7th birthday my Kyden Jay. Keep lighting up every room you go in forever. I’m so proud of who you are and everything you are becoming. You have the biggest heart and are so kind to everyone. I love being your mommy🤎 Happy Birthday my sweet boy 🤎” she captioned the post.
Randle posted a birthday roundup too in celebration of his firstborn’s special day. “These last 7 years have been the fastest but best and most fun 7 years of my life. Biggest blessing watching you grow and mature every day. Love you always kid. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KY 🤴🏽” he captioned his Instagram carousel of videos and images.
Jaycey Randle, 2
In June 2021, Kendra and Randle announced that they would be expanding their family. The expecting mother shared photos from a family maternity shoot on Instagram, captioning it, “This year has been full of blessings but this is by far our biggest🤎 #RandlePartyOf4 🤎.”
Jaycey was born on Oct. 16, 2021. Kendra followed the jersey tradition and posted a photo of the newborn with his dad‘s New York Knicks jersey.
Like his big bro, baby Jaycey is no stranger to sitting courtside at Randle’s games. He made his Madison Square Garden debut in April 2022, of which Kendra marked the occasion with an Instagram carousel of photos that featured the family of four posing in matching neutral tones.
Randle celebrated Jaycey’s birthday with a sweet Instagram post in October 2023.
“The BIG 2 for JAYCE CARTER! Love the fearless kid you are. Watching you everyday gives me the confidence I need. I wish I could be like you CARTER. Keep being a leader even if you don’t know it yet young 🤴🏾 love you kid,” the proud dad wrote.
Kendra shared in the birthday love, penning a thoughtful tribute on her own social media page. “Happy 2nd birthday to my baby boy, Jayce Carter.🤍 My wild, sweet, perfect momma’s boy. I love you so much, I’m so grateful to be your mommy🤍” she wrote on Instagram.
In March 2024, Kendra posted an Instagram with a cheeky caption relating to mothers of multiple children.
“Jacey is using Kyden’s old bottle,” she began. “How many mama’s know the bottle struggle? 😅 for Kyden it was the paci and now with Jaycey it’s his bottle😅 honestly, I’m soaking up all of these last ‘baby’ moments🤍🫶.”
