EUGENE, Ore. – Day three of the U.S. Track & Field Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore. featured five Gators, one of which, Anna Hall, will continue competition tomorrow after a strong performance through the first four events of the Women’s Heptathlon.
Other Gators, Pjai Austin, Jenoah McKiver, Jacory Patterson and Abraham Sargent, concluded their Road to Paris as McKiver and Sargent concluded their first seasons as Florida Gators while Austin and Patterson finished their inaugural professional season.
HOW IT HAPPENED – Finals
Women’s Heptathlon
With four events in the books and three still to come, Anna Hall currently holds the top point total in the seven-event-long competition. Her day was highlighted by three season-best finishes, which came in the 100m H, High Jump and 200m, resulting in a day one-point total of 3884.
The Gator Great opened the competition with a run of 13.34 in the 100m H, topping her previous season best of 13.57 which she set at the USATF New York Grand Prix. She finished seventh in the event and totaled 1074 points.
Hall’s season-best of 1.82m/5’11.5″ was also good for the best mark in the entire field. She was the only athlete to total over 1000 points in the event as she scored 1003, bringing her total to 2077.
In the third event of the day, Shot Put, the Colorado native notched a throw of 14.35m/47’1″. The mark earned a third-place finish in the event and 817 points, pushing her into second place in the Heptathlon for the time being.
That quickly changed as Hall was able to regain the lead after a strong performance in the final event of the day: 200m. Her finish of 23.90 was fifth best in the field and added 990 points to her day one total of 3884.
The two-time defending U.S. Heptathlon Champion will look to secure her spot on the Olympic roster during tomorrow’s competition. Hall will begin the competition in the Long Jump 1:00 p.m. ET, continue with the Javelin at 2:10 p.m. ET and conclude with the 800m at 9:37 p.m. ET.
Men’s Javelin
After joining his previous college’s track and field program as a walk-on before transferring to Florida prior to the 2024 season, Abraham Sargent has ended his collegiate career at the Olympic Trials. The graduate student finished 11th in the Javelin competition with a mark of 67.42m/221’2″.

Men’s 100m
Pjai Austin concluded competition in the 100m on Sunday. The first-year professional crossed the finish line in 9.99, placing him 12th in the semifinal round.
Men’s 400m
Jenoah McKiver and Jacory Patterson concluded their first season as a Florida Gator and as a professional, respectively, after participating in the 400m semifinals. McKiver tallied his best 400m run of the 2024 season at 45.21 while Patterson finished with a time of 45.89 during Sunday’s contest.
