At last night’s Juno awards, Aujla was nominated for both breakthrough artist of the year and the fan choice award. While Talk took home the breakthrough artist prize, fans crowned Aujla the TikTok Juno fan choice favourite for 2024.
Expect to hear more big news coming down about this rising global pop star in the coming months as South Asian pop/hip-hop blows up everywhere.
Additional kudos go out to local DJ Felix Cartal who picked up the dance recording of the year Juno award, beating out ceremony MC Nelly Furtado for the prize. The busy DJ recently posted a rousing set with Lights at the Feel Less Pop Up Party live in Gastown that has garnered 25,000-plus views to date.
