Beyoncé is facing accusations from Japanese designer Hajime Sorayama, who claims she ripped off his artwork for her ‘Renaissance’ tour visuals. Sorayama posted a comparison on Instagram, showcasing similarities between his futuristic sketches and Beyoncé’s graphics and outfits. He also included her merch in his post, pointing out the similarities there too. “Yo Beyonce You should have asked me ‘officially’ so that I could make much better work for you as like my man The Weeknd”, Sorayama said. While some defended Beyoncé, citing inspiration from the 1927 film ‘Metropolis’, others supported Sorayama, acknowledging his artistic influence. It remains unclear if Sorayama intends to take legal action against Beyoncé.
