Beyoncé Becomes First Black Woman To Top US Country Chart | Entertainment

Beyoncé has become the first black woman ever to have a number-one hit on the US country charts for her song ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’. She released the song, along with another single, ’16 Carriages’, after announcing her eighth studio album, ‘Renaissance Act II’. ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ has topped Billboard’s Country Songs chart, which also makes her the second solo female act to debut at number one. Taylor Swift accomplished this first in 2021 with her re-recorded versions of ‘Love Story’ and ‘All Too Well.’ Beyoncé is also the first woman to ever top both the Hot Country Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. Justin Bieber, Billy Ray Cyrus, Ray Charles and Morgan Wallen are the only other artists who have achieved this.
