What You’ll Do

(Day-to-day responsibilities/Overview)

  • Drive day-to-day client relations and serve as a client counsel for all earned media inquiries & opportunities, juggling multiple projects and deadlines
  • Develop and lead media outreach strategies.
  • Successfully execute long and short-term communications plans by generating coverage in key publications, ensuring goals are met and/or exceeded
  • Develop press materials including but not limited to: creative, eye-catching media pitches; informative press releases and more!
  • Proactive about developing ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts; brainstorm creative and effective ways to generate additional press coverage to enhance PR campaigns in addition to those lighter moments between campaigns
  • Provide insight and counsel on emerging trends and online media developments as they affect the music and entertainment industry, public relations and marketing.
  • Maintain regular day-to-day contact and close relationships with key press, particularly entertainment ranging from music (all genera’s) to general entertainment and lifestyle
  • Manage the work of junior team members and as well as collaborate and manage social media and digital marketing team.

What You’ll Bring

(Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields (Communications, Public Relations etc.)
  • Minimum 4-7 years’ demonstrated experience, ideally with music and entertainment
  • Agency or record label experience preferred
  • Proven ability to effectively organize multiple deadlines across accounts and teams
  • Expert-level project management skills
  • Travel and/or working nights and weekends is required from time-to-time (within reason and barring pandemic set-backs)
  • Advanced writing, editing, and research ability
  • Detail focused with strong communication skills: persuasive, strategic, proactive, diplomatic.
