Billboard Magazine Names Miami Law as Top School for Music Law Programs



Billboard Magazine recognizes the University of Miami School of Law as one of the nation’s top schools for music law programs.

Ten Miami Law alumni, including J.D./Master in Music Business and Entertainment Industries ’23 Lauren Spahn, made Billboard’s Top 100 Music Lawyers on this year’s list highlighting the biggest names in music and entertainment law. In addition, the law school was listed as one of eleven “Leading Law Schools” attended by notable alumni.

“It is an honor to once again be recognized by Billboard as a Leading Law School of the Top Music Lawyers,” said Greg Levy, director of the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law LL.M. program. “We have a long history of producing outstanding music lawyers and executives starting with legendary music lawyer Fred Goldring who founded the Entertainment and Sports Law Society in the early 1980s and planted the early seeds that have blossomed into our robust program.”

Miami Law offers a comprehensive range of programs, including LL.M. and J.D./LL.M. degree programs in Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law, as well as J.D./M.M. and J.D./M.A. degree programs in Music Business, Entertainment Industries, and Arts Presenting, and Live Entertainment Management. This breadth of offerings ensures that students are well-prepared for the diverse challenges of the music industry.
