BOCES partnerships allows Entertainment Tech grad to skip a semester of college – Troy Record

As Jade Menzies recently headed off to college, the area teen only needed to complete three semesters of college to earn an associate’s degree because Menzies completed the Entertainment Technology program at Capital Region BOCES, where she learned the finer points of theatrical production while preparing for a career backstage in the industry. Thanks to a partnership between Capital Region BOCES, Proctors and FMCC, Entertainment Technology students can earn up to 16 college credits while learning about the many jobs and the skills needed to work in the entertainment industry, including set design/carpentry, lighting/stage electrics, sound design/recording, costuming, stage management, film/media, etc. (Photo provided)
