American singer Britney Spears has announced that she will never return to the music industry. This comes after reports of Charli XCX and Julia Michaels writing tracks for Spears’ team. However, giving rest to all these reports, the ‘Toxic‘ singer has confirmed that she won’t be returning to the music industry.
The Princess of Pop released her last album, Glory, in 2016. She took a break from work in 2019, calling it a “strike”. She later explained that she did not want her estranged father to benefit from her music sales during her conservatorship.
It was finally after a Los Angeles judge terminated the arrangement in 2021 that Britney released collaborations in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

A Page Six report earlier suggested that Britney was planning on recording a new album. Later, the US Sun was the first to report on Charli’s involvement. Rolling Stone additionally quoted that the management and A&R were trying to get her excited about the music, adding that while she was not actively recording, they were getting songs done to present to her.
However, strictly denying all the claims, Britney Spears in a now-deleted post called most of the news “trash.” A part of her post read, “They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry!!!”
The Toxic singer said she had written over 20 songs for other artists. “When I write I write for fun or I write for other people!!! […] I’m a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way!!!”
Along with her post, Spears also shared a picture of a painting by an Italian painter named Guido Reni.
Britney Spears’ divorce
These developments come days after Britney Spears and model Sam Asghari filed for divorce after 14 months of marriage. They got married in June 2022 in Thousand Oaks, California after dating for six long years.
Earlier, Spears hinted about a family reunion following years of estrangement from her parents and sisters during her conservatorship dispute.
