First downs allowed by Bears defense in second half
After the Vikings scored on three possessions in the first half, the Bears’ defense shut Minnesota’s offense down in the final 30 minutes. Along with Minnesota picking up only two first downs, the Bears allowed just 58 yards of offense in the second half.
Minnesota’s only second-half score came from its defense in the third quarter.

The veteran recorded his longest field goal of this season in the second quarter. In the last two years, Santos is 6-of-7 on field goal attempts of 50 yards or more.
Santos’ 53-yarder is his longest since Oct. 18, 2020, when he made a career-high 55-yard field goal for the Bears.

Career touchdown for backup quarterback Tyson Bagent
Bagent, who replaced Fields in the third quarter, capped off his first NFL touchdown drive with a 1-yard rush into the end zone. The score brought the Bears within 19-13 with under eight minutes to play in the game.
Bagent led the Bears down the field with back-to-back passes to receiver DJ Moore of 18 and 24 yards. The undrafted rookie also had an 11-yard completion to tight end Robert Tonyan on the drive.
