Clark and the Fever have a few more days of preseason prep before the regular season tips off on Tuesday. First, the front office will make final roster cuts by Monday night. It will likely be sooner for the Fever, who go on the road to begin the season against the Connecticut Sun.
It begins a tough start to the schedule with game against the 2023 top defensive team (Sun), runners-up (Liberty), newly stacked super-team (Storm) and two-time reigning champions (Aces). The home opener is in one week against the Liberty.
The WNBA officially announced the implementation of charter flights “as soon as practical.” Unless it is put into place within the next few days, the Fever will fly commercially to and from Connecticut. Facing the Sun is the toughest travel trip in the WNBA because there are no airports close by Mohegan Sun.
