Calyco are a fresh new 5-piece pop/rnb girl group based in London UK. The original name of the group is made from the letters of members. Angel, Chloe, Izzy, Julie and Mollie.
With 5 lead vocalists and 5 great personalities, Calyco write and perform their own songs. They provide quality pop/rnb music, diversity in heritage, languages and are positive role models for a younger and older audience. Calyco continue to do things in their own style and entertain their “Calyco Soldiers” with a mixture of original songs, reviews, languages, and very entertaining 60-second vlogs on social media.
The group formed in 2021 and spent the first few months meeting over the internet during the lockdown period. As soon as they were able to, they recorded a cover session with full live band. Their version of “My Heart Belongs to U” by Jodeci did so well that Jodeci themselves immediately reached out to the group and are massive fans.
In 2022 the group performed on Talk Radio Europe in Spain and in March 2022 were also invited to perform at the AnR Worldwide Showcase in Los Angeles. This is THE premier entertainment industry showcase & networking event in Los Angeles and Calyco performed with full band. The event was attended by Disney, Netflix, USA Record label A&R’s and also Jodeci members (who also invited the group to their record breaking LA show with New Edition and Charlie Wilson).
The group returned to the UK and released “Outtamylife” in 2022. This was accompanied by a radio tour of local radio stations in UK and Ireland. Calyco managed to be played on over 250 local radio stations. The followed this up with their next single “Unpredictable” which was their first song released in English and Spanish. This song is produced by Mikol Cain (Macy Gray) from Los Angeles and the music video was filmed in Malaga, Spain. Unpredictable has amassed over 350k streams on Spotify so far.
Calyco have just released their latest single called “Don’t Stop Never Quit”. This catchy, feel good, Pop/Rnb song is written by Calyco and Produced by Grammy winning Producer Andrø Pop. It’s a song about never compromising and giving up on your dreams. The music video shows the group failing and then eventually succeeding at various sports and was filmed in London.

In 2023, Calyco have been touring schools in the UK and in 2024 plan to take this to the next level with over 100 schools in UK & Ireland and then over to Europe and USA. Its an ambitious project which will see the group performing for over 100,000 people in 2024 but as their anthem says…Calyco Don’t Stop and they Never Quit!
