The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without starting center Jarrett Allen for Game 7 of their first-round NBA playoffs series vs. the Orlando Magic. He is out with a rib rib contusion suffered earlier in the series.
Allen had been listed on Saturday as questionable to play in Game 7. When asked during pregame media availability late Sunday morning whether Allen would be available, Cavs coach J.B. Bickerstaff said, “We’ll see.”
About a half hour before tipoff Sunday, the Cavs officially ruled Allen out.
Allen will miss his third consecutive game with the injury. Bickerstaff has said Allen took an elbow to the ribs during Game 4’s loss. Allen totaled 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting to go with nine rebounds in that game.
