Chlöe Bailey has revealed her celebrity crush to be People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” of 2020 — Michael B. Jordan.
While recently visiting Apple Music radio’s The Dotty Show, the singer blushed as she named the Black Panther star.
“I’ll say it. Michael B. Jordan is my celebrity crush,” the 25-year-old admitted. “I’ve been said that in interviews, even like, years ago.” When asked if Jordan is aware of her crushing on him, the “Treat Me” singer replied, “No. I don’t shoot my shot.”
The host then suggested that she “DM” Jordan now and not “block her blessings.”
Optimistically, the Praise This actress responded, “I’m big on blessings, but I’m like God will bring my blessings to me when they’re supposed to be here.” She also added that she doesn’t want to “force” anything between her and Jordan. However, Chlöe did give a coy giggle when asked, “What is it about Michael B. Jordan?,” that she likes.
“Wow look at you blushing like he’s in the room,” the host spoke of the Swarm star‘s response. “That’s crazy, just from thinking about him. That’s crazy.” See above.
Chlöe expressed her liking of Jordan in 2018 during an interview on The Real. She’s also been video-bombed by the A Journal For Jordan lead while on the red carpet, where he yelled out, “She’s the sh*t, she’s dope!”
The two also shared a warm hug during a basketball game earlier this year.
However, after being rumored to have dated a few people — including Gunna, Quavo, Future, Damson Idris, and Memphis Depay — Chlöe says she’s been single for some time now.
“Sadly, I have not been seeing anybody for almost a year now,” Bailey told Cosmopolitan in April. “Your girl has just been working on herself, and I wish I was lying. I tell myself, ‘God, I know what you’re doing. You’re sifting out the BS, so I can find good lovin’.’”
“When you don’t know your worth and when you haven’t mastered the art of loving yourself, you question why others would love you,” she added.
Deeming herself a “hopeful romantic,” she dished, “I love cuddles. I love showing my passion through our physical beings. I’m such a physical touch and words of affirmation type of girl, and I want someone to be just as madly in love with me as I am with them.”
Since Chlöe’s most recent confession of crushing on MBJ, critics have had mixed reviews. Some commentary included people rooting for the singer and actor to date, as others said Chlöe was breaking “girl code.”

The “Surprise” artist has been linked to Lori Harvey (who dated Jordan for a year), as the two have reportedly built some sort of friendship. According to Atlanta Black Star, Chlöe and Harvey have been photographed together and also follow one another.
“I thought she was friends with Lori,” one user commented under The Shade Room‘s repost of Chlöe’s Apple Music interview.
Someone else said, “Idk this is kinda weird, She dated Lori’s ex-fiancé, Memphis Depay, and now she’s saying she has a crush on MBJ…is she not friends with Lori anymore? Does girl code not exist fro celebrities?”
On the flip side, another person commented, “They would be a cute couple honestly,” as someone else wrote, “yesss girls he fineeee. Manifest it like Gotti did lol,” referring to Yo Gotti and Angela Simmons becoming an item.
