We are pleased to announce that the application window for the fully funded and paid Inklings Fellowship is now available for its third year running.
Last year, a third of our cohort completed the program with jobs at Warner Bros. and an Academy Award and Grammy Award winning film score composer’s studio.
The Inklings Fellowship, which runs from mid-June through September, is designed to equip the next generation of rising Christian filmmakers and business-minded individuals in the art of wielding entertainment media—one of the most powerful tools in history.
Located in the Los Angeles area, the summer program provides a head start for Christians who are first and foremost passionate about the gospel and desire to use their gifts and interests within a creative industry. This immersive experience calls for leaders primarily interested in the producer and entertainment executive track, which will involve experience in an office setting.
Why apply for the Inklings Fellowship?
This unique opportunity includes:
- A $315 weekly stipend
- Fully covered room and board
- Mentorship and lectures from leading industry experts
- Training on the business of making movies and profitable scripts
- A supportive community of like-minded believers with similar aspirations
- Paid-for special events and potential screenings and red carpets
- A career launchpad for furthering the good, true, and beautiful in Hollywood
Participants will gain an invaluable inside look into the world of filmmaking and what goes on behind the scenes while gaining hands-on experience and vocational guidance.
Although this program is unlike any other offered, it is important to note that many people enter Hollywood starry eyed, seeking to further their careers with a perception that it’s all about the glitz and glam. Our hope is to help fellows cultivate hearts that seek to serve while equipping them with the tools needed to navigate the very real challenges of this landscape.
Applicant eligibility
We welcome graduating seniors or young professionals to apply who hold at least a BS or BA degree, as well as a knack for creativity and business acumen.
Undergraduates or high school students may apply to our internship program instead.
A day in the life of a fellow
Fellows will hear from guest speakers each week and attend networking, bonding, and work events. Past speakers have worked at Netflix, Legendary Studios, Lionsgate, Warner Bros., and other major studios.
Fellows will assist with real-world, hands-on projects and develop editorial skills, such as reviewing and critiquing a movie, drafting news articles, and delivering script coverage. Fellows will meet with industry contacts on a weekly basis, evaluate their career aspirations through a Christians lens, and grow new skills through contributing to Movieguide®’s programs. This immersive opportunity will set you on a path to level up your career, gain new connections, and get a foot in the door to Hollywood.
We are now accepting applications until March 1st, 2024, or until all spots are filled.
