New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) is pleased to announce that the 43rd Annual NYWIFT Muse Awards will be broadcast in partnership with NYC Media – on their flagship station, NYC Life – Saturday, March 16 at 8 PM with an encore airing Monday, March 18 at 7 PM. The 90-minute awards celebration during Women’s History Month honors women of vision and achievement in the media and entertainment industry who have used their platform to break barriers, elevate others, and inspire the next generation of leaders.

Featured honorees include:

  • IFC Films President Arianna Bocco
  • Award-winning actress and singer Danielle Brooks, who will receive the “Made in NY” Award presented by the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment
  • Filmmaker Deborah Chow, who will receive the Nancy Malone Directing Award
  • Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Maria Hinojosa, who will receive the inaugural Enid Roth Award for Excellence in Journalism
  • Emmy and President’s Volunteer Service Award-winning television host, chef, and author Sandra Lee
  • BAFTA & SAG Award-winning actress and producer Freida Pinto
  • Tony Award-nominated actress Lauren Ridloff, who will receive the Loreen Arbus Changemaker Award
  • Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress, artist, and activist Sharon Stone
  • AMPAS President Janet Yang

The Muse Awards is New York Women in Film & Television’s signature celebratory event, one of more than 70+ programs produced annually. Other NYWIFT initiatives include the annual Creative Workforce Summit, Finance Institute, NYWIFT Talks Series, professional development programs, networking gatherings, festival awards, scholarships, Women’s Film Preservation Fund, and more.
