Daniel Radcliffe Producing Doc About ‘Harry Potter’ Stunt Double | Entertainment

Daniel Radcliffe is set to partner with his ‘Harry Potter’ stunt double, David Holmes, to tell the story of how Holmes became paralyzed while on set. The new HBO documentary, ‘David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived’, will follow Holmes’ life, including his time working on ‘Harry Potter’. Holmes worked as Radcliffe’s stunt double from ‘Sorcerer’s Stone’ to ‘Deathly Hallows Part 1’ before an injury left him paralyzed from the chest down. “Stuntman David Holmes, a prodigious teenage gymnast from Essex, England, who is selected to play Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double in the first Harry Potter,” reads a synopsis of the documentary. The synopsis also explains how Holmes and Radcliffe became close after working together for so many years. HBO noted that the documentary will feature “personal footage” of Holmes’ life and interviews with Holmes and Radcliffe. ‘David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived’ is set to be released Nov. 19 on HBO.
