Donna Summer’s Estate Is Suing Kanye West Over Song Use | Entertainment

Donna Summer’s estate is suing rapper Kanye West, alleging that he created an unauthorized soundalike of her hit song ‘I Feel Love.’ The lawsuit claims that West and his team approached the estate for clearance but were rejected. Despite this, West released the track titled ‘Good (Don’t Die)’ on his album ‘Vultures 1’ featuring a “soundalike” of Summer’s song. The release has prompted the estate to seek damages and an injunction to block further distribution. The estate alleges copyright infringement and harm due to millions of streams of the song. West has not yet responded to the lawsuit. The lawsuit comes after Ozzy Osbourne also slammed Kanye West for sampling one of his songs without permission.
