When discussing the leaders in setting trends and promoting artists in the music industry, Brandon Silverstein is one of the biggest names that comes to mind. In tandem with his management, publishing, and production company S10 Entertainment, of which he is both founder and CEO, Silverstein’s work has resulted in 20 global number-one hits for his talent pool while leading to over 40 billion streams. Artists working with S10 Entertainment have also gone on to produce RIAA-certified albums and singles and sell out U.S. and international tours. The music industry has taken notice in the wake of all this success.
Brandon Silverstein received Billboard’s first-ever Power Players’ Choice Award for 2023. The award, for which Billboard Pro members select nominees and winners, acknowledges an individual’s achievements and contributions to the music industry. Silverstein was selected after three rounds of voting, and over 1,500 votes were cast. Winners are understood to have provided the most impact over the prior year. Under Silverstein’s leadership, S10 Entertainment has gone on to represent rising artists, progress into publishing, and make a foray into television and film investment. The firm has worked with notable artists, including Justin Bieber, Kid Laroi, The Weeknd, and Rihanna. It also represents songwriter and producer HARV and Grammy winner Jaspar Harris.
“Being recognized by the music industry as one of the most powerful and impactful executives is an absolute honor,” said Brandon Silverstein on receiving the Power Players’ Choice Award. “I’m proud of what we’ve built with S10 globally and the trust our artists and creatives have in me and my team.” Notably, the award was conferred through voting by Billboard subscribers with Pro access, representing a cross-section of the music industry, including fans and industry professionals.
Despite his relatively short time in the industry, Brandon Silverstein has garnered significant recognition from his peers. He was named on Billboard’s 40 Under 40, a list curated by editors and industry representatives, and also featured on Billboard’s Latin Power Players list. These acknowledgments highlight his artists’ success under his guidance, from chart rankings to social media impressions, further solidifying his reputation in the industry.
Other publications have also noticed Silverstein being named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in 2020. The recognition placed him among other candidates and winners evaluated by independent judges based on contributions to funding, social impact, inventiveness, and potential, among other factors. Variety also named Brandon Silverstein to their New Leaders list in 2021, reflecting his impact on the music industry as a whole and on individual contributors who stand to gain from his example and inspiration.
Under Silverstein’s leadership, S10 Entertainment continues to expand its reach, encompassing a variety of investment ventures across media while operating its music publishing arm under Brandon Silverstein Publishing. Artists who have collaborated with S10 Entertainment have gone on to experience successful brand deals, sold-out U.S. and international tours, and RIAA-certified albums and singles. The firm also prides itself on partnering with other entertainment industry executives and organizations. This includes teaming up with Sumon Fuller, creator of the American Idol concept, to create projects spanning film, television, and audio. Silverstein is also credited with coordinating the Bounce Music Festival, an electronic dance music (EDM) focused event he conceptualized and launched while attending Indiana University.
