(CNN) – Ellen DeGeneres said she is tapping out of show business.
During a recent stand-up routine in Santa Rosa, California, DeGeneres reportedly said that after her Netflix special, she was “done.”
DeGeneres also told the audience what she has been up to since her namesake show ended two years ago.
She said she got chickens and got kicked out of show business for being mean.
DeGeneres found herself in hot water in 2020 after former staff members accused her of creating a toxic work environment on the show.
During her recent stand-up performance, she admitted to being harsh and immature as a boss.
When asked whether fans may see her on the big screen or Broadway stage in the future, DeGeneres said this was her last time performing.
