Elon Musk has come to the defense of Russell Brand in light of the recent sexual assault allegations made against him. The accusations emerged following a UK Times exposé, which claimed that he sexually assaulted four women between 2006 and 2013. Following Brand’s denial of the allegations, Elon Musk discussed the situation with Ben Shapiro on his platform, X. “There needs to be, obviously, a conviction here. It can’t be guilty until proven innocent. Because obviously we’re just sort of in the witch burning phase here; just being declared a witch is enough to make you a witch and be burnt,” said Musk. Musk questioned why this happened when Brand was “gaining traction, questioning a lot of the conventional wisdom.” Musk also claimed that Brand has been falsely villainized because he was “rattling the cage” of the “powers that be.”
