La Crosse, Wisconsin native and BMI songwriter Sawyer Utah returned to the Badger State recently to perform for a group of restaurant owners and executives who traveled to Green Bay to attend the Restaurant Insights Summit, a conference that is presented annually by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association, a long-time partner of BMI’s.  The 22-year-old entertained the conference attendees with his unique pop sound that caught the attention of music industry veteran Norbert Nix, multi-platinum producer and songwriter Frank Rogers, and GRAMMY-nominated songwriter Gregg Wattenberg, who together formed a publishing entity to help launch Sawyer’s career.  Utah is currently splitting time between New York and LA, where he is writing and recording his first album.  The Restaurant Insights Summit is a two-day event where Wisconsin restaurateurs comes together to learn about the latest developments and innovations in their industry so that they can successfully move their businesses forward.
