Emma Stone has dreams of appearing on Jeopardy!, but she’s not interested in taking the easy way out.
A fanatical viewer of the quiz television show, Stone told Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast that she watches “every single night, and I mark down how many answers I get right. I swear, I could go on Jeopardy!.”
In fact, the Poor Things star has been proactive about trying to make that happen.
“You can only take it once a year with your e-mail address,” Stone said. “So, every June, I take the quiz.”
She continued, “They don’t tell you how you did. They just say, ‘We’ll let you know in the next nine to 12 months if you got on the show.’ And guess what? I haven’t gotten on the show.”
Still, Stone has her sights set on the real deal, not the spin-off version of the show featuring her peers in the industry.
“I don’t want to go on Celebrity Jeopardy!,” she boasted. “I really want to earn my stripes. I would like to go on real Jeopardy!.”
