Showtime has given its upcoming home improvement comedy The Curse starring Emma Stone, Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie a first look and a launch date.

The series, which shows Stone and Fielder wearing hard hats and wielding sledgehammers to renovate a home in the first pics (below), will start streaming on Paramount+ for Showtime subscribers on Nov. 10, before launching Showtime Nov. 12. That’s after a world premiere of the first three episodes at the 2023 New York Film Festival on Oct. 12.

Other first look images have Fielder sitting atop a bulldozer, while Stone in the role of Whitney is seen running in front of a glass-walled house. The comedy explores an alleged curse disturbing the relationship of a newly married couple as they try to conceive a child while co-starring in their new home-improvement show.

Stone and Fielder play the couple, while Safdie is the producer of the HGTV show. Guest stars include Barkhad Abdi, Corbin Bernsen and Constance Shulman.

The Showtime and A24 co-production is co-created, executive produced and written by Safdie and Fielder, who also directs. Stone, Dave McCary, Ali Herting and Josh Safdie share executive producer credits.

The Curse marks the latest TV foray for Stone, best known for star turns in La La Land and Birdman, and who will also appear as Frankengirl in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things. Stone’s production banner has a first-look TV deal with A24.

The Curse will debut internationally on Paramount+ on November 10 in Canada and on November 11 in the UK, Australia, Latin America, South Korea, Italy, Germany Switzerland and Austria.
