Eurodance legends Cascada reuniting for new album | Entertainment

Cascada are reuniting for their first album in 13 years.

The ‘Everytime We Touch’ hitmakers are putting a modern spin on disco music and the record, ‘Studio 24’, which has been self-penned by frontwoman Natalie Horler, is close to completion.

The 42-year-old singer – who recently appeared on Jax Jones’ remix of ‘Never Be Lonely’ – told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It’s inspired by the times of [New York club] Studio 54.

“We’re doing a take in a more modern disco style. I’m so excited about it because it’s been a while since I’ve done a whole album. It’s nearly finished.”

The noughties star is channelling her friends’ experiences of heartbreak into the upbeat floor-fillers.

Natalie continued: “I haven’t done a lot of songwriting on my own so I’m more than excited to be able to put my own tracks on this album.

“I’ve been fortunate not to have gone through too much heartbreak, but I’ve had many friends that have and when you’re close to them, you know what they’re feeling. I write from their experiences.”

Natalie also revealed she was once asked if she would send her “worn socks” to a fan on social media.

She added: “I don’t really get weird things, but it does happen once in a while. Recently someone messaged asking if they could have my worn socks.”

The dance legends had a string of hits with ‘Everytime We Touch’, ‘What Hurts the Most’, ‘Evacuate the Dancefloor’, and ‘Miracle’. Cascada represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden with ‘Glorious’, which finished in 21st place with 18 points.
