Fab Factory Entertainment, a full-service entertainment company that has operated a large recording studio footprint in North Hollywood for the last several years, has recently signed a master lease on a 66,000-square-foot postproduction, office and event facility in East Hollywood.
The three-story building, located at 1377 N. Serrano Ave., formerly served as Netflix’s postproduction headquarters. It features 11 studios and multiple sound suites, as well as a Crystal LED Theater located on the top floor – one of only three in Los Angeles.
“What we’ve learned over the last few years is that Hollywood’s creative community needs high-tech workspaces that are functional, comfortable and inspiring to work in,” said Rebecca O’Hara, co-chief executive of Fab Factory. “The success we’ve had with Fab Factories in North Hollywood has compelled us to expand in a major way. Fab Factory South will become a new creative hub, conveniently located in the center of the country’s entertainment capital.”
Among the first subtenants in the building are “In the Black Network,” a streaming network founded by former Fox Soul executive James DuBose that spotlights Black voices and original stories, and Lux Angeles Studios, a full production and postproduction services group. Additional tenants are expected to join in the coming months.
The complex features 10,000 square feet of event space and has parking facilities for more than 400 vehicles.
Fab Factory Entertainment was founded in 2016 by father-and-son duo Steven and Shaun Fabos. While only eight years old, the company has been growing steadily and has operated a sprawling music, postproduction and rehearsal portfolio.
