(Gray News) – Charges could be forthcoming in connection with actor Matthew Perry’s death, according to reports.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to ABC News that the investigation into Perry’s death is nearing its end, and it will soon be up to the U.S. Attorney’s Office to decide if anyone is charged.
Perry died on Oct. 28, 2023, at age 54 after he was found unresponsive in his hot tub.
A medical examiner ruled his cause of death from “the acute effects of ketamine.”
The autopsy listed drowning, coronary artery disease and buprenorphine effects as contributing factors in Perry’s death. The death was ruled an accident.
However, police have been investigating the details of the ketamine supply in Perry’s death since October.
In a report from PEOPLE, a law enforcement official said the investigation was nearing its end and that “multiple people should be charged.”
Perry was best known for his role as Chandler Bing on “Friends.”
