(Gray News) – Johnny Wactor, a well-known actor known for his role in “General Hospital,” was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles, according to multiple outlets.
His mother, Scarlett Wactor, confirmed the news with TMZ.
According to the L.A. Police Department, officers responded around 3:25 a.m. on Saturday. When officers arrived, they found Wactor suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said Wactor saw three men stealing the catalytic converter from his vehicle. However, when he confronted them, they turned around and shot him.
Wactor was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The suspects have not been found, police said.
Wactor, 37, starred as Brando Corbin in almost 200 episodes of the popular soap opera ‘General Hospital’ between 2020 and 2022. He also appeared in other shows such as Westworld and Criminal Minds.
