Chelsea Table & Stage in New York
On his forthcoming concert at Chelsea Table & Stage in Manhattan, Krissa said, “It is going to be super fun, heartfelt, and funny. I have some great special guests, and it will be the perfect amount of time (an hour and 15 minutes), which is not too long but also not too short. I am excited for people to come and watch it.”
“The Chelsea Table venue is just fantastic,” he exclaimed. “It will be a night of laughter, love, and music. It is intimate, it is relaxed, the sound is great, and the people there are wonderful. It is the perfect place to bring my show.”
“There will be some musical theatre in my set and cover songs, there won’t be any original material,” he added. “There is some country, pop, a little bit of rock, and it really runs the gamut of styles.
“I feel I have musical split personalities sometimes,” he said. “I love music and all kinds of music, so I like to include a little bit of everything in there because that is what keeps me interested, and the audience on a bit more of a journey,” he elaborated.
Special musical guests
Krissa revealed that his special guests that will join him on stage will include Jackie Cox, Danielle Wade, “Jackie is wonderful, I am going to do a song with her,” he admitted. “Danielle Wade was in ‘Mean Girls’ on Broadway, and she is Canadian too. I am also excited to sing with Tyley Ross, who is a Grammy-nominated recording artist and my cousin. I feel really fortunate to be able to do that.”
The digital age
On the impact of AI on the future of the entertainment industry, Krissa said, “That’s a scary thought, isn’t it?” You can’t avoid it, it is not going to go away. The best thing we can do is to learn to use it as a tool rather than a means to replace ourselves.”
“I am hoping that these strikes and everything get resolved soon, and people get what they are asking for so that we can get back to work,” he added.
