Georgia Film Day celebrates state’s entertainment industry


ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Georgia leaders and professionals are celebrating the state’s entertainment industry Wednesday with the return of Film Day.

The celebration, hosted by state House representative Long Tran (D-80) and the Georgia Production Partnership, aims to bridge the gap between Georgia’s film industry and legislative leaders.

The 2024 Georgia Film Day event is the first since 2020.

Mayor Andre Dickens, SAG Southeast Chapter President Eric Goins, and notable actors Elaine Hendrix, Karen Ceesay, and Afemo Omilami are expected to attend.

“Georgia Film Day 2024 presents a unique opportunity for industry professionals, stakeholders, and enthusiasts to come together and engage directly with legislators to advocate for the continued support and advancement of the film sector and the Georgia Film Tax,” organizers said.
