According to BFMTV, Gérard Depardieu was summoned to a Paris police station for questioning over sexual assault allegations made against him. The 75-year-old is reportedly being questioned over two separate allegations that were made by 2 women who worked with him on set in 2014 and 2021. Although Depardieu has not commented on these allegations, he has previously denied other allegations of sexual assault. In October 2023, Depardieu wrote in an open letter, “Never, ever have I abused a woman.” The woman involved in the 2021 incident alleges the assault took place on the set of ‘The Green Shutters.’ Her lawyer told BFMTV that their client was “passing through a corridor where Mr Depardieu was sitting” when he assaulted her. “He grabbed her, trapped her between his legs and touched her body up to her breasts. She felt completely powerless, incapable of escaping this trap,” stated the 2021 victim’s lawyer.
