In a series of passionate social media posts this week, singer Bebe Rexha has targeted the music industry, claiming she could “bring down a BIG chunk of the this industry,” saying she is “frustrated” and has “been undermined” after being “so quiet for the longest time.”
The pop star and former Staten Islander, 34, posted on X that she hasn’t “seen the signs even though people constantly are bringing them up and they have been SO OBVIOUS,” claiming she has been “silence [sic] and PUNISHED by this industry.”
“Things must change or I’m telling ALL of my truths. The good the bad and the ugly,” she added in her X post, not elaborating on the issue. When a fan responded in the comments, asking about details of her claims, Rexha responded: “You haven’t even heard 5 percent. You have NO IDEA.”
By the way, David Guetta’s 2015 song, “Hey Mama,” was co-written by Rexha, Guetta and others. While she was given co-writer credit, she did not receive credit for her singing in the track, which also featured Nicki Minaj and Afrojack. The issue has since been resolved.
When another commenter inquired why the star did not speak out, the 4-time Grammy nominee replied: “THEY PUNISH YOU.”

Rexha has been active on social media lately, recently posting a story on her Instagram account in response to a comment made by a hater, who said she looked like a porn star.
“The guy that told me that I look like a porn star? I take that as a compliment,” she said with a broad smile, a snap of the finger and a confident head shake. The video looked to be filmed while Bebe was a passenger in a car, with music blasting in the background.
Again, Rexha did not elaborate on the encounter, from whom the derogatory comment came, or how the exchange unfolded or ended, but seems to be unfazed from the incident.
In another incident, the “In the Name of Love” made headlines recently from a fan who attempted to throw something at her while she was performing on stage. The pop star is iron-clad with zero tolerance for unruly antics and immediately removed the fan from the audience.
The fan was later charged for assault. The alleged perpetrator, identified as Nicolas Malvagna, who was 27 at the time, said through his legal team that he was merely trying to get a selfie with Rehxa, with no intention to harm her.
